 "It's a lovely and cozy getaway. We loved it. The slopes had closed the previous week, but we enjoyed other activities and sites in the area. Boone, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain are not far away. We also found horsebacking riding nearby. The deer and raccoon occasionally visited in the evenings. "Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed our time at your place! It was peaceful and serene. We only left the mountain a couple of times, took walks and watched the deer.  "This "Chalet" (which is larger than my home)is a home away from home witout the hustle and bustle of city living. A great get away winter or summer for hikers, skiers, golfers and more. For volksmarchers, there are two YRE just down the MT in Boone. Most everything is new and very clean, TVs, stereo, coffee maker, BBQ and decor. An extreme bargain.
